This picture exemplifies why my pictures and I are in love with photoshop: with it I can make everything so much more than what I thought it would be while I was drawing it.

My second birthday and looking across the room at all the people singing to me. Then looking down at my Mickey and Minimouse cake and just feeling so happy. I had that almost-choked up feeling in my chest that sometimes comes with feeling happy and loved. I blew out the candle (a big “2”), licked the frosting off the bottom of it and those plastic toy decorations on my cake: life was good.
